- Thick slice of fresh pineapple
- 1 banana
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1 orange
Optional Ingredients
- 1/3 cup soft (silken) tofu (great source of protein)
- 2 tablespoons freshly ground flax seed (rich in Omega-3 fatty acids)
*optional ingredients are great after a work-out to avoid sore muscles.
Preparation
- Wash all ingredients
- Cut off the outer layer of pineapple and chop into large chunks
- Peel the orange, make sure to take out all seeds.
- Throw all ingredients into a blender.
- Add a little bit of water to get your blender going.
- Blend until smooth.
- If smoothie is not sweet enough add a couple of spoons of Maple Syrup.
- Add ice to taste. Blend until smooth.
