These essential fatty acids are abundantly found in oily sea fish like salmon (coldwater oily fish),  trout (wild caught fish ).Eat these fish in your diet at least twice in a week and it would not only be your hair follicle thanking you but also your arteries and heart. Another source of of these is meat from fed cattle and bison. Regular beef is a very poor source of omeg-3 fatty acids but animals fed on grass. If your vegetarian take fish oil capsules which are widely available.
These essential fatty acids are also present in seeds like flax seed, walnuts, pumpkin, soybean and canola oil , olive oil all are good source.  Sprinkle the flaxseeds or seeds powder over your salads and have pumpkin seeds as snacks so as to add the essential fatty acids in your diet. Vegetable source  like healthy scallops, cauliflower, cabbage, cloves and mustard seeds. These omega-3 fatty acids also have little impact on blood which is increase blood circulation.

Grains which are important with respect to the strength and growth of our hair is silica, a trace mineral. The mineral silica is crucial to maintain optimum growth and may also help in avoiding hair breakage. Unfortunately, food processing and chemical soil treatments strip our foods from the trace minerals.  Hence, when possible try to choose organic natural and whole grains food over preprocessed packaged foods. Foods that provide silica are rice, spinach, whole wheat, oat bran, onions, strawberries, cucumbers, sunflower seeds, cabbage, cauliflower and dark green vegetables.
